Big Walk Beginner Guide

The essential confirmed facts to help your group plan its first Big Walk session.

Before you start

Big Walk is designed around teamwork and talking. It does not have a single-player mode, so organize a group of at least two players before starting.

Choose the right world

The host chooses a 2-player, 3-player, or 4+ player version of the world. Officially, parts of the world adapt to that choice.

Treat the setting as the minimum expected group size. It does not cap how many people can join, up to the official maximum of 12.

Communication matters

Core play includes proximity voice chat, pointing, waving, gestures, and other communication tools. The official tools include walkie-talkies, laser pointers, binoculars, megaphones, and flares.

Specific strategies for using each tool are not officially confirmed here.

Items

The five officially named tools are:

  • Walkie-talkies
  • Laser pointers
  • Binoculars
  • Megaphones
  • Flares

More item details will be added only after they can be verified.

Puzzles and progress

Puzzles are part of the cooperative exploration. Big Walk also has a beginning, middle, and ending.

This MVP does not invent puzzle solutions or a complete route. Use the puzzle and walkthrough hubs for confirmed additions as the guide grows.
